This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, grade, code, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, and quality certificates of hot-rolled recycled steel bars (hereinafter referred to as steel bars). This standard is applicable to concrete structures of general low rise buildings that are not seismic fortification, as well as concrete structural columns of low rise and multi story buildings that are seismic fortification below 8 degrees: secondary components of other engineering structures, or structural reinforcement where the design does not require full play to the strength and deformation of steel bars. It is not suitable for concrete structures and structures that bear dynamic loads in mid to high-rise, high-rise, and super high-rise buildings, nor is it suitable for lifting rings of embedded parts and prefabricated components. The steel bars specified in this standard should not be used as raw materials for cold drawn steel bars. Note: The definition of low rise, multi story, medium to high rise, and high-rise buildings is the same as that of GB 50352.2 normative references. The clauses in the following documents are referred to in this standard and become the clauses of this standard.
