This standard is equivalent to the Codex Alimentarius Commission CAC/RM 36-70 "Method for Determination of Weight of Dried Matter I (Based on AOAC Method)". This standard specifies the method for determining the net weight and solid content of canned food. This standard is applicable to the determination of net weight and solid content in various canned foods. The term can gross weight: the weight of the entire can before opening. Solid content: The percentage of the weight of the drained material (including oil) to the indicated net weight. Specification 3.1 for cans with a net weight less than 1.5kg using a circular sieve with a diameter of 200mm. 3.2 Cannes with a net weight equal to or greater than 1.5kg shall be screened using a circular sieve with a diameter of 300mm. 3.3 The circular sieve is woven with stainless steel wire, with a diameter of 1mm and a hole size of 2.8mm × 2.8mm
